Acer Aspire 5101 AWLMi: A Cheap Laptop Only £421.25 with AMD Processor

When you look at the price of this laptop computer with its features, you get too interested to have it if you have not got a laptop so far. It is totally low-cost laptop with good features which can you satisfied for multimedia work and your office work. It is a mainstream laptop weighs about 6.1 lbs or 2.8 kg and easy to carry. So, this is really a considerable option that with less than $800 (£421.25 ) you can get a 15.4" portable laptop which comes with a powerful processor and ample memory and hard disk. This laptop is really good for typical users. With this price you get more adequate facility for having entertainment in move or doing serious work in their office or out of home.

I am really impressed by the rich features compared to its cheap price. You can get good performance from processor and memory with the good graphics card that supports 3D as well. So, you can be happy with the Multimedia part especially, you can work with Media Center Edition of Windows XP. You can easily watch movie, burn DVD and CD, edit your photos and listen to your music happily. If you run simple games you can do it just you will have few problems. The sad part is that it doesn’t have TV tuner and TV - S-Video Out. The 15.4" display is bright and you don’t expect to get better than this with this price. Also you can have live video chat with your built in webcam.

Another important part of a laptop is its keyboard. The keyboard is ok it is a normal built-in keyboard and a Touch Pad with 4 way Scroll. Also you can find a row of programmable buttons to use them to launch your own choice of programs.

You can connect to internet from everywhere with the Wi-Fi of laptop. But, there is no Bluetooth technology and infrared. But don’t be sad for this because the 802.11b/g Wi-Fi is enough to enjoy your wireless connectivity.
Naturally with this price you can’t expect to get security system and you have to pay extra money to add it.

If you are not satisfied with this laptop computer you can read about Toshiba Satellite M115-S3094 which is lighter that this Aspire and has 14.1" display and Intel Core Duo T2050 / 1.6 GHz Processor with more better features in some parts, Toshiba Satellite P105-S6024 with 17" display with Intel Core Due T2050 / 1.6 GHz.
Also you can look at Sony VAIO VGN-C150P/B which comes with 13.3" display and core2 due processor. All of these three models are budget laptops with more expensive price than Aspire 5101 AWLMi (more than $1000) and with better features in some parts as well. But I myself prefer this laptop to those three ones.
