Rumor Says: Sony Shipping New VAIO CR Series Coming With Santa Rosa Later In June

Mainstream 14.1" Sony VAIO CR notebook series with black, blue, pink, and white shades are being replaced with VAIO C notebook series according to a leak from a Dutch online store.

But According to Notebook Italia, it is going to replace with Sony VAIO FJ in the list of the Japanese producer in different colors like Sony VAIO CR11S/W will be white and Sony VAIO CR11S/P will have one ink rose (P, pink).

SonyVAIO CR Series will come with Santa Rosa platform, Intel GM965 Express Chipset with the Graphics Media Accelerator X3100, and Intel wireless IEEE 802.11a/b/g/n. Also they will be powered with Intel latest Core 2 Due processor with a minimum 1.8 GHz. As always the display will come with the X-Black technology but the keyboard will be trayless like VAIO TZ series.

According to electronista, Sony VAIO CR is shipping to Europe later this month. VAIO CR11 series will be priced at minimum 1,350 Euros ($1,820) after tax while equipped with the 1.8GHz processor, 2GB of memory, a 120GB hard drive, and an integrated webcam; the most expensive model in this series will include a 160GB drive and a Mobility Radeon HD 2300 with prices leveling at 1550 Euros ($2,090).
