Cheap VAIO NR11Z notebook for Europe; Sony VGN-SZ650N/C Reviewed

1- VAIO NR11Z is a budget laptop from new VAIO NR series. You know that Sony has launched 15.4" Sony NR Series for European Market this autumn. VAIO NR11Z series comes with basic price of £552 but the most pricy laptop in this series with code name of VGN-NR11Z/T costs £ 649.00 inc. VAT.

It is totally a business laptop even the appearance is not so stylish but it totally shows the Rich brown Wenge chassis fits to business use.

It is based on Intel Santa Rosa platform. It is powered by fast clocking Intel Core2 Duo processor T7250 (2.0 GHz and 800 MHz FSB) and ample 2 GB of RAM (maximum up to 4GB) and spacious 200GB HDD (but with slow spinning of 4200 rpm) and DVD burner.

The 15.4" display comes with WXGA (1280 x 800) X-black LCD which is good for watching movies. But the integrated Intel GMA X3100 graphics card is proper for business use and it is not good for playing professional games.

This budget laptop has got adequate options for using network: Wireless LAN IEEE 802.11a/b/g, 10/100 Ethernet; and 56k modem.
There is no Bluetooth and WWAN option.

VGN-NR11Z/T features 4 USB, FireWire, VGA out, headphones, microphone, Memory Stick, SD card, and ExpressCard 34mm

2- Sony VGN-SZ650N/C: This model is one laptop from VAIO SZ6 notebook series.

VGN-SZ650N/C is priced at $1899 at Best Buy and provides long battery life, dual graphics cards, and a hybrid hard drive with 256MBof built-in flash memory.
