MacBook Air Gets Applause from GreenPeace

At last Steve Jobs made its new laptop “MacBook Air” for 2008 so environmentally-friendly that Greenpeace applauded for it happily and made it winner.

Last year Greenpeace warned Apple for use of toxic chemicals Brominated Fire Retardants (BFRs) and Polyvinyl Chloride (PVC).

Macworld reports:

"For us though the highlight of the show, was Steve talking about the environment in his keynote speech for the first time. It’s a big step for Steve and we would like to congratulate all the Apple fans who helped us with our greenmyapple campaign," the environmental campaigners said.

Now Greenpeace has requested Apple to continue this process for all its products and make this style as its standard process not only once only for one laptop.

I hope other laptop makers start a competition in this field and help the environment to stay cleaner.
