I think Vostro 1310 with its basic price or medium prices seem to be very good option.

Dell Vostro 1510 is more affordable and comes with higher features than Dell Vostro 1310. The reason is very simple; because Vostro 1510 is a 15.4" mainstream laptop and Vostro 1310 is an ultra portable laptop. Ultra portable laptops are more expensive than bigger laptops generally.

Dell Vostro 1510 with weight of 5.7 pounds is available with following configurations costing:

- $599 price (basic configuration coming with 15.4 inch Widescreen WXGA LCD Anti-Glare Display, Intel Celeron M 540 (1.86GHz, 1M L2 Cache, 533MHz FSB) CPU, 1GB of RAM, 80GB 5400RPM SATA Hard Drive, DVD combo drive, 802.11g Wi-Fi, built-in GMA Accelerator X3100 graphics card and Windows XP Home Edition)
