Lenovo is updating its ThinkPad laptops series with Intel’s upcoming Centrino 2 platform and Centirno 2 with vPro Technology. Lenovo is adding these upcoming platforms to 12"ThinkPad X200 series (X200, X200s and ThinkPad X200 tablet), ThinkPad SL series (13.3" ThinkPad SL300, 14.1-inch SL400, 15.4-inch SL500 laptops), ThinkPad T series (14-inches T400 and 15-inches T500 laptops) & ThinkPad R series (14.1-inch R400 and 15.4-inch R500 laptops).Here first I will try to mention the highlight features of each laptop series.
The highlight features of ThinkPad X200 (X200, X200s and ThinkPad X200 tablet) include:
- They are based on Centrino 2 with vPro technology and comes with Penryn CPUs up to 2.4GHz, (3MB L2 cache and 1066 MHz FSB)
-Optional Intel turbo memory and modular Bays
- Up to 5GB 1067MHz DDR3
- Storage (Hard drive) SSDs up to 64GB and HDD options up to 200 GB (7200rpm) or up to 350 GB (5400rpm)
- 12-inches WXGA Mercury-free displays on LED panels
- Offering various connectivity such as 802.11n Wi-Fi, WiMAX, WWAN (HSPA or EV-DO), GPS, UWB, and Bluetooth, Ethernet and modem
-Newly designed keyboard with the same size of keyboard on Think Pad T series
- Coming with enough 3 USB ports, 3-in-1 media card reader, Express Card (but it doesn’t provide, eSATA port, Display port, IR, FireWire, S-video, Serial and parallel ports)

- Sturdy chassis; Magnesium alloy coveres top and bottom
