Yesterday, AMD just made its new platform Puma Official (with the next-generation AMD CPU Turion X2 Ultra Dual-Core Mobile Processors with ATI Radeon HD 3000 Series graphics) and today you can see review and benchmark of first Puma based laptop Toshiba Satellite A305D to get idea that howmuch this new platform improves the performance and graphical quality of your laptop.
The laptop was reviewed by Notebookreview comes with the following specs:
Display: 15.4" diagonal widescreen TruBrite TFT LCD display at 1280x800 (WXGA)
Processor: AMD Turion Ultra ZM TL-80 (2.1GHz)
Memory: 2GB DDR2 800 SDRAM (maximum capacity 4GB)
Hard drive: 320GB 5400rpm Hard Drive
Optical drive: DVD SuperMulti (+/-R double layer) drive with Labelflash
Others: 1.3 megapixel webcam; Harmon/Kardon stereo speakers; 75W (19V x 3.95A) 100-240V AC Adapter, Kensington Lock Slot
Ports/Slots: an HDMI output (instead of s-video out), VGA port, eSATA port, 3USB port, IEEE-1394 (FireWire), Microphone input port, Headphone output port, 5-in-1 media card reader, modem jack, LAN jack, ExpressCard slot (ExpressCard/34 and Express Card/54)
OS: Windows Vista Home Premium (SP1, 32-bit)
You can read the full review in the original article but here I just briefly mention the benchmark.

Toshiba Satellite A305D (Turion Ultra ZM TL-80 @ 2.1GHz) scored 38.437s while Toshiba Satellite A305D (Turion X2 TL-64 @ 2.2GHz) scored 37.220s and Toshiba Satellite A305 (Core 2 Duo T8100 (Penryn) @ 2.1GHz) scored 36.442s. As you see the Penryn model of A305 has scored best. However, the distance is not a lot.
Well with only one test we can not judge this platform and we have to wait for other results and reviews.
