Gateway P-7811 FX is another gaming laptop from Gateway that will hit the market from August 14^th and you can buy purchase it at Best Buy. This system will be priced at $1500.

Gateway P-7811 FX is sounds a lot like the previous models.

The main differences of this system with previous models like P-172X FX laptop come in platform, processor, and Memory and graphics card.

Gateway P-7811 FX is based on Centrino 2 platform and comes with Centrino 2 processor while P-172X FX laptopis based on Santa Rosa Refresh platform and come with the initial Penryn processors like Core 2 Duo T8300. Also it sports the latest Nividia NVIDIA GeForce 9800M GTS while P-172X FX laptop provides the older graphics card , NVIDIA GeForce 8800M GTS.

The upcoming Gateway P-7811 FX will use DDR3 RAM while the previous models all use DDR2.

In the terms of ports, slots, network, optical drive, weight, and battery Gateway P-7811 FX follows the previous models.
