Lenovo 10-in IdeaPad S10 Only $400 & 9-in IdeaPad S9 Differ from Other Netbooks

Low-cost mini laptops are such useful computers that I think soon they will enter to each home and be seated along every desktop computer. Mini laptops only perform basic applications and can help handling typical tasks like browsing internet or checking e-mail listening to music but they are very portable and small. You can carry them everywhere in your normal backpack or messenger bag like a notebook.

In the market Mini laptop you can find many flavors from many known and unknowncompanies. One of these mini laptops that will be popped up in the US on September 28th and in China on September 5th and other parts of Asia on September 10th is 10.2-in T-IdeaPad S10 from Lenovo. Of course Idea Pad S10 has a smaller size brother as well called 8.9-in IdeaPad S9.

IdeaPad S10 seems similar to Eee PC 1000h or MSI Wind PC but it has two big differences. For instance, all of them are powered by Atom CPU, SSD or HDD storage or they feature Wi-Fi. The differences include:

IdeaPad S10 provides much bigger storage than the other ones.

IdeaPad S10 is the only mini laptop or net book that features Express card slot.

Other highlight features of IdeaPad S10 include:

- OneKey Rescue System to recover data at once when a system gives error or Virus attacks.

- Coming in three red, White and Black colors exterior and white interior and in two configurations: one configuration sports 512 MB of memory and an 80 GB hard drive and the other one sports 1 GB of memory and a 160 GB hard drive.

- Bluetooth

-Wi-Fi 802.11b/g (which is slower than the Wi-Fi 802.11n used in Eee PC 1000h)

- The system running on Windows XP will be available mere in the US, while the system running on Linpus Linux Lite will be available elsewhere.
