Dell came up with the idea of direct marketing in computer world many years back. No doubt, it has been an excellent idea which is now popular throughout the world. However, Dell recently got a complaint from one user through its IdeaStorm suggestion box where that user wrote that Dell should deliver the product at least within a week of payment. Normally, Dell takes up to 5 weeks to deliver the product. That user also raised a question that why would a consumer pay for something which he would be delivered after 5 weeks? He thinks that it is like providing a loan to Dell without any interest as the company does not provide any discount on the product for that.
No doubt, the question is pretty much logical. That is why, Dell is going to launch an service titled FastTrack by which buyers can get the products within maximum 2 days after payment. Dell is now making a list of laptops and desktop PCs which are popular among the consumers, and initially the FastTrack service will be limited only for those products. General consumers will be delivered the product by the next day, while the delivery time for the businesses is two days.
