Dell is getting serious to include GPS or location services into its Mini 10 netbooks. This is not new news. WE have already heard about it several times, but Dell is serious now. It is initiating putting GPS and its related software in Mini 10 netbook as an attractive choice for its consumers.
Why is Dell serious about this offer? Well, it is the result of fast growth of demand for mobile phones including GPS and the facility of reading map and storing up addresses. Dell believes that this option will be demanded by many netbook consumers.
Dell Mini 10 with GPS option will come with mapping app from CoPilot navigation software bundle.
This software is able to display directions in 2D and 3D maps, “provides turn by turn directions and trip optimization including detours”, and accumulate p to 50 addresses.
Price? It is not clear yet, how much extra this option will add to the basic price of Mini 10, however I don’t think it to add a lot.
