How to Find Images Tagged with Creative Commons License

Using image in an article makes it much more attractive and clear to the readers (if the image is related to the topic you are writing on). You can find lots of pictures and images on the web which are related to your topic. Well, that does not mean that you can use that picture right away just mentioning the source of the image. Why?

Well, there are many writers who reproduce news and reports available in the web, mentioning the source of the main text. However, it is not case when you are going to use an image in your own article. Here comes the issue of licensing or copyright. Before using an image, you must ensure that the creator of that particular image allows other to reuse it in their articles or websites.

You can use images which fall under Creative Commons licenses which allow others to reuse those images. Now, the question is how you can identify the images that fall under Creative Commons licenses. Here, you can take help from Google Advanced Image Search where you can find images tagged with Creative Commons licenses. Under this license, images are leveled with reuse, commercial reuse, reuse with medication and commercial reuse with modification.

Now, you can easily choose the kind of image you are looking for. However, still you have to mention the source of the image in your article. Even after getting an image labeled under Creative Commons licenses through Google advanced image search, you have to ensure that licensing information provided for that particular image is true, by visiting that website.
