Google gets Good Contract from LA Government for Cloud

Google have been promoting the concept of cloud computing heavily and now it seems that it is going to pay off. In fact, the company has recently got a great news when it was seen that The Los Angeles City Council members all agreed to go for Google Apps in place of Novell GroupWise e-mail for the city workers. It is expected that this move will help the City Council to cut back several million dollars in the coming years. Certainly this move did not please Novell officials and they stated that the way the figures were said were not right.
It seems that LA Government officials are contemplating on the idea of Government Cloud concept from Google and they are hoping that this way they can decrease their expense on Microsoft products.
Well, it seems that Google is making some enemies with this deal here. Both Novell and Microsoft will perhaps be annoyed with this matter. Anyway, I am a big fan of Google and I just hope that it does not turn into the new Microsoft.
