All about Apple iPad tablet

People started to gather in front of the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts Theater from 9 am. At 10:01 am, Steve Jobs appeared on the stage. First he talked about Apple and its achievements. A few weeks ago, Apple sold its 250 millionth iPod. Apple also expanded its business aggressively. It currently has two hundred and eighty four stores. In the holiday quarter, Apple stores saw 50 million visitors. Steve talked about the new Apple store in NYC. The App Store is another big success story of Apple. Currently, Apple has a collection of more than 1,40,000 applications; the biggest among all the app stores. Few weeks ago, the Apple app store observed its three billionth app download. From a small company established in 1976, Apple became one of the top companies in the world with an annual revenue of $50.6 billion revenue. In the first quarter of 2010, the company observed a revenue of 15.6 billion. Though Apple is a PC producing company, it earned majority of its revenue from mobile devices like iPods and iPhones and then Mac computers. This also makes Apple a mobile company, larger than Sony, bigger than Samsung, and even bigger than Nokia, in terms of revenue.

After the introduction, Steve Jobs directly went to the main event and introduced the Apple iPad tablet PC. Finally, the device, which the entire world has been talking about years after years, is revealed. Steve Jobs said, "The iPad is the most advanced piece of tech that I've ever worked on at Apple." I can see great potential with this product but as an Iphone owner, I am intimately familiar with Apples method of leaving out standard features on their early models. For instance, why wouldnt they include even a basic webcam, bluetooth wireless keyboard, GPS hardware, or even USB ports?

Most of my favorite apps use either the camera or the GPS to conveniently search for local people, products, and information like weather and movies. A camera that allows video phone calls and web chatting would take this to the next level.

I think this is a great product for students and people who want a super Kindle-like device.

I am curious to see how popular this is with technology fanatics like myself. The 1 ghz processor and minimal hard drive seems a bit lame considering the Nexus 1 has almost the same specs as a smartphone.

Then again, what do I know, Steve Jobs is brilliant and the IPAD will probably be a home run.
