Apple Music Event would take place on September 1 at San Francisco

Apple’s much talked about Musical event would take place on September 1, 2010 at San Francisco’s Yerba Buena Center for the Arts Theatres. On August 25, 2010, Apple sent out invitations to media personalities about an upcoming event containing the image of an acoustic guitar with an Apple logo-shaped sound hole.

Apple has a long tradition of holding this event in September where the company unveils its new music devices and technologies such as iPod, iPod Touch, iTunes etc.

However, no other details about the event, except the invitation, are out. Yet, news reports with various speculations are coming out every minute.

It is believed that Apple would showcase a new iPod Touch that would have features of the new iPhone 4 including a high-resolution Retina-display, a gyroscope and a FaceTime feature.

There is also speculations of an upgraded $99 Apple TV renamed as iTV and a new $0.99 TV show rental service on iTunes.

The Apple Music event of 2009 had been very significant because Steve Jobs, the legendary Apple CEO, made his first public appearance at the event after his liver transplant operation. The event took place the after Labour Day dubbed “It’s only rock and roll but we like it.” Apple also unveiled its 64GB iPod Touch, iPod Nano with built-in video camera and iTunes 9.

At the 2008 Apple Music Event themed “Let’s Rock,” Apple rolled out the 160GB iPod Classic, the 4th generation iPod nano with voice recording and a thinner iPod Touch. The company also debuted iTunes 8,. Genius.
