Google celebrates its 12th birthday

September 27th is a big day for it is the 12th Birthday of Google. On this day, the company was incorporated. In November 1997, Larry Page and Sergey Brin, two Computer Science graduates of Stanford University, published an academic paper titled, “Large-Scale Hypertextual Web Search Engine,” where they talked about Google. Then in 1998 the company set up its first office in a garage and from there it went on to become one of the top Internet companies in the world.

Obviously, Google came up with a Doodle to celebrate the day. Here is the Doodle:

The tradition of Google Doodle started back in 1999. The first Doodle, a simple design, was created by Larry and Sergey after they visited the Burning Man Festival. The second Doodle appeared a year later on Bastille Day and this time logo of Google was designed by webmaster Dennis Hwang.

It is not only Doodle but Google started so many great things that changed lives of many people. For example, I can say that Blogger and Adsense changed the lives of me and my mentor and teacher, Razib Ahmed. Prior to landing on Internet, Razib Ahmed tried his hands on different things like publishing magazine, web-magazine, writing guide books for students and I worked with him as well but it was Internet that finally brought stability in our lives and Google helped us to become full-time bloggers. So, we wish Google a very very Happy Birthday.
