Toshiba Introduces 4G WiMAX in Portégé R700 Ultraportable Laptop

Toshiba has now added 4G WiMAX technology to its already popular Portégé R700 ultraportable laptop. Users of newly launched Portégé R700 models would be able to have easy access to internet in 54 cities in the US. A number of other American cities including New York, Los Angles, Miami, Denver, Cleveland, Minneapolis, Pittsburgh, Cincinnati and San Francisco will come under WiMAX coverage very soon.

Two new Portégé R700 models with 4G WiMAX have been introduced today by the Digital Products Division of Toshiba America Information Systems, Inc. Portégé R700 has already become a highly popular laptop among the business users.

Toshiba Portégé R700 provides both performance and ultraportability to the users. It is the lightest 13.3-inch ultraportable in the world, but still comes with an integrated DVD drive which ensures users would not miss entertainment.

Its form factor is really eye-catching. The laptop weighs just 3 pounds and is 1-inch thin. All the laptops of Toshiba Portégé R700 models feature Intel’s latest Core processors and several ports including eSATA/USB combo port with Sleep-and-Charge functionality and ExpressCard slot. It also comes with 4GB of DDR3 RAM, a built-in DVD SuperMulti drive and a 6-cell battery ensuring long battery life.

Toshiba Portégé R700 also feature an eye-catching design which would attract users who always prefer stylish laptops. Its 13.3-inch diagonal HD LED-backlit screen provides high-quality picture.
