Asus is expected to launch a tablet PC called Eee Pad in the next few weeks but the company officials are now concerned about the impact of tablet PC in netbook business. Tablet PC has become very popular and Apple iPad is dominating in this market. Samsung has also seen some success with its Galaxy Tab.
Asus as worked very hard to become a major player in the laptop or notebook industry and a lot of success has come thanks to the impressive result they could achieve with netbook or Eee PC. Now, since tablet devices are taking away some market share from netbooks, Asus is going to find itself in a bad position in the PC market. That is why, Asus officials are going to meet within a few days to talk about the strategy and how they can overcome this problem.
I really wish to see that Asus can come up with a brilliant idea for tablet device and can give others a tough time in the matter of price. It was Asus who revolutionize the laptop market by coming out with the idea of Eee PC and suddenly the price of laptop fell down thanks to the efforts of Asus. Now, it will be a big challenge for the company to do something outstanding in the tablet market because Apple is in total domination in this market.
Apple also has been dominating the smartphone industry at least in the USA with its iPhone.
