China to have 270 Million 3G Users by 2010: Digitimes

China is not only the most populous country in the world but it has also the largest number of mobile phone users. So, it is becoming a very important market for 3G technology and according to a report of DG Times, in 2014, the country will have nearly 270 million 3G users.

From any point of view, this is a huge market. It will surely open up new business opportunities in the country and I wish that Chinese government becomes more active in adopting new technology in Internet. For example, we are now talking a lot about 4G technology and it is not clear yet when China will allow the implementation of 4G technology.

High speed internet is not a luxury anymore in any country. It is a basic necessity and if you have good internet connection then it will be helpful for your profession. In the country level, good speed of Internet is helpful to increase GDP or economic growth. Internet helps us to create new markets where it did not exist.

Still, many people live in rural areas of China and they are not getting the benefit of modern technology that much. Thus, there is a huge potential for 3G internet to increase beyond 2014.
