Project Magazine is now available at iTunes store: Get it for $2.90 per month

On November 30, 2010, Sir Richard Branson launched “Project Magazine,” the “first

All-digital magazine” launched on iPad. Soon it will be launched on iPhone and after that the Android version would come out. The iPhone version of the magazine would have mapping features.

The magazine is now all ready available at the iTunes store. It has a subscription fee of $2.90 per month and the app would automatically update throughout the month. It is now available in Italy and the UK. Crave.cnet.co.uk says:

Project boasts in its tagline that it's "within shouting distance of the cutting edge". Its blog calls it a "bold new chapter in media, and a blind pitch into a potentially humiliating void". We had a virtual riffle through the pages to see which it turns out to be.

The first issue contains interview of actor Jeff Bridges and his upcoming science fiction movie, Tron: Legacy. Here is a video clip of Jeff Bridges:

The magazine covers various subjects related to culture and technology. It integrates multitouch and multimedia technology making it highly interactive. You would have to swipe sideways to flip through articles and top down to read them.

Another digital magazine that is lined up uniquely for iPad is Daily owned Rupert Murdoch. The media mogul invested a lot in the project. Let’s see how it comes out.
