210 million LCD TV sets will get Sold in 2011 Worldwide

Do you own a LCD TV set yet? If not then do not be sad because there is a strong possibility that you will be able to buy one in 2011. According to a report of Digitimes, the demand is increasing and next year, around 210 million units will be sold. The market for LCD TV was around 180 million in 2010.
It is interesting to note that Korean companies like Samsung Electronics and LG are the market leaders. Sony, Toshiba and Sharp from Japan are behind the Korean manufacturers in this regard.
The demand is increasing and the market is becoming larger. Naturally, the price is falling with time and it is good for consumers.
Condition of rich countries like USA and UK is still not that good. Even people in Japan are worried about the economy. So, you may wonder how the demand for LCD TV is increasing so rapidly. Well, the main growth may come from countries like China and India.
For companies like Samsung or LG, it does not matter perhaps from where the demand comes. They will be happy to sell their LCD TV sets anyway.
