Acer first talked about its tablet PC at the Acer’s Global Press Conference in November. The company announced that it will make Android-based tablets that would come with three different sizes- five, seven and ten inches and they will come out in April 2011.
Recently, Engadget posted three new videos where it has been shown that an Acer employee is giving a demo of Acer’s 10 inch tablet. The videos were posted on Youtube. Here are the three video clips:
The videos show Acer’s custom Android apps. The first video clip shows that the software has not completed yet. There are some bugs. The UI is in beta stage. This demo mainly showed the gyroscope-enabled feature of Acer tablet. She opened up the AR photo browser which contains albums and the pages turns just like real books. It also has zoom-in and zoom-out feature. The app drawer in the first video reveals that the device is running on Android 2.2 Froyo but it has been reported that they would come with Honeycomb. In the last video, the user had to stab on the screen a few times to open up a folder and then it worked without any hiccup.
The Acer tablets will come with Nvidia’s Dual-Core Tegra-2 platform. The tablets will be launched in April and they would come with Android honeycomb.
