Archos 70 and 101 Tablet PC Review: Engadget has Mixed Feeling

Engadget has posted an entry reviewing Archos 70 and 101 in which the review was not that much positive but in the end, Joanna Stern stated that the price was cool.
You can buy this tablet PC at $299 and this matter makes it very inexpensive compared to both iPad and Galaxy Tab. When it comes to tablet device, it is iPad and Galaxy Tabs are the leading two devices. So, when any new tablet comes then naturally, we tend to compare it with them.
Well, we find it some unfair to compare Archos 70 and 101 with iPad and Galaxy Tab because of the price factor. You cannot compare Intel’s i7 processor with Intel Celeron because of the price factor. Perhaps the price alone tells you that i7 will run much faster and give better performance.
So, if you can afford then surely go and buy an iPad or a Galaxy Tab but if you do not want to spend more than $300 then surely an Archos tablet will be the thing for you.
The final verdict of Engadget is:
If the Archos 70 and 101 were priced at $399, we'd find a lot of the shortcomings to be unforgivable, but for $299 (and in some places $275), we're just not sure you can beat the duo. Yes, we can all agree that the displays are seriously cruddy and the overall build quality and design, for lack of a better work, suck, but at this point we've just come to expect that for a tablet under $300.
