I am not a very big fan of outsourcing websites like Freelancer.com because very poor pay rates. Of course, some people are earning good amount of money in programming from countries like India and Russia. However, my skill is not programming but writing and in writing related projects, the money is really poor.
Anyway, I live in a poor country and even I find the pay of most of the projects in websites like Freelancer.com or Odesk very poor. So, it is really shocking to me that the highest number of members are from USA not from India. This is shocking because I wonder how anyone can work for projects of these websites and pay bills. Perhaps, the recession has condition very bad for many people in USA.
Of course, the number 2 million does not make me excited because I can easily understand that most of the users are either inactive or out of any luck because so far, just around 900,000 projects completed and $71,071,404 USD user earnings has taken place. So, you can easily do the math. Then, on the other hand, if you are trying to start learning about earning money online then these websites are a good place to start.
