I just finished reading the review of Lenovo IdeaPad U260 at Engadget. The reviewer has praised some of the features of this laptop. Frankly, I was taken back from the price tag of $1,000 for a 12.5" display based laptop. I know that you would say that it is a very powerful ultraportable and powerful indeed it is.
Genuine Windows 7 Home Premium 64, 4 GB DDR 3 RAM, Intel Core i3-380UM Processor should make a notebook expensive and there is nothing wrong in it. Lenovo IdeaPad U260 is also ultrathin.

Joanna Stern was highly impressed with ‘magnesium-aluminum alloy shell, leather palm rest, and glass touchpad’ and felt that it could compete with the new Macbook Airs.
There are many other excellent features and according to Joanna Stern, the performance is not bad either. However, the thing that really shocked me was the battery power of Lenovo IdeaPad U260 which was something like 3 hours. I am shocked because a 12.5" laptop should run at least 5 hours or what is the use of it! After all, it is portable means that you will mainly use it when you are out of your home or office.
If you want to use a laptop in your home or office and do not look for high battery power then you would most probably like to go a laptop with 15.6" screen which makes it much comfortable to view than 12" screen.
So, I feel somewhat disappointed with Lenovo IdeaPad U260 Laptop just because of the battery power. I am not discouraging anyone because after reading the review of Engadget, I felt that it is a great laptop. However, if you are concerned about battery life then it is perhaps not the right option for you.
