English woman became the 10 billionth app downloader from Apple iTunes

Gail Davis, a woman in Orpington, England, was the lucky winner of Apple App Store’s. Her daughter downloaded the 10 billionth app from Apple App store. It was a free app called Paper Glider.

When she got a call from Apple and was offered the prize, she replied, “Thank you very much; I’m not interested?” But when she came to know that her daughter downloaded the 10 billionth app she was ashamed and understood that the person from Apple was genuine.

She then called Apple again but this time Apple employee was not so polite with her. She said,

"The more I thought about it, the more I realized it was a genuine call. The girls were getting quite tense. They never would have forgiven me. They would have held it against me for all eternity."

She then received another call from the colleague of Eddy Cue, VP Apple iTunes. Apple announced that the 10billionth app downloader would receive $10,000 iTunes gift card.
