The only time, I used Internet Explorer was from December 2001 to March 2002. Then, I found Opera browser to surf Internet and never looked back. Those days, Opera was Ad supported but still, I enjoyed it more than IE. To me, IE was always heavy and slow. I just used it only when the web page did not load well in Opera (like some websites of newspapers in my mother tongue).
Then Firefox came and I realized that I even did not need to use IE even for most of the pages that Opera could not load well. Firefox became my tool for using websites like Gmail and Blogger. When Chrome came, I found another good browser and it became really very easy for me to totally leave Internet Explorer.
I honestly cannot remember when it is the last time that I used Internet Explorer continuously for one hour to browse Internet. I am almost sure that it has not happened in the last 6 months.
That is why, I got surprised that largest number of users came to TechCrunch via IE instead of Chrome or Firefox. Well, AOL home page is the secret behind it.
